Cabs & sleepers
Full cab repaints, sleeper boxes, and color changes for owner-operators and fleets.
Kayne Coating paints semi-truck cabs, tilt hoods, sleepers and anything else too large for the average body shop. It’s the newest shop from Wayne and Karen Brown, who have kept Tuscaloosa’s trucks and cars on the road for more than 40 years.
Cabs, hoods, and full trucks that have come through the shop. Fleet colors, two-tones, and custom paint.
We built this shop around big work. If you’ve had trouble finding someone with room for a full cab or a one-piece hood, bring it to us.
Full cab repaints, sleeper boxes, and color changes for owner-operators and fleets.
One-piece fiberglass hoods painted off the truck, with crack and gelcoat repair before the first coat.
We match your fleet’s spec color so a repainted unit lines up with the rest of the yard.
Fenders, fairings, side skirts, bumpers, and toolboxes, painted to match or refinished on their own.
Farm, construction, and industrial equipment panels that need a durable finish.
If it’s too big for a regular paint booth, ask us. We’ll tell you straight whether we can take it.
Years the Brown family has served Tuscaloosa.
Family owned and run by Wayne and Karen Brown.
Focus at Kayne Coating: painting the big stuff right.
A paint job lasts only as long as the prep under it. Every job goes through the same steps, whether it’s one hood or a whole tractor.
We inspect the unit with you, talk through color and finish, and give you a written quote.
Old paint is sanded or stripped, damage is repaired, and everything that isn’t getting paint is masked off.
Primer goes on and gets block sanded so large flat panels come out straight.
Base coat is laid down in the booth, matched to your paint code or fleet spec.
Clear coat for gloss and protection, then a full cure before anything is handled.
We check the finish in full light, unmask, clean up, and call you when it’s ready to roll.
Wayne and Karen Brown have been fixing and painting vehicles in Tuscaloosa for more than four decades. In that time they’ve worked on everything from family cars to working trucks.
Over those years, they kept hearing the same thing from truckers and fleet managers: it’s hard to find a shop with the space and patience to paint a whole cab or a full-size hood. Kayne Coating is their answer, a shop set up for large work from the ground up.
